R-values
In many websites you may look at when researching insulation, they may talk about this thing called R-values. Basically this is just a measurement of how good your insulating material is at keeping in the heat. So the higher your R-value the better it is at keeping in the heat and the more effective the material is at insulating.
The Building Code requires your insulation to have a minimum R-value to make sure your home is warm enough. So it’s a good idea you buy insulation that has an R-value bigger than this minimum to make sure you get as much heat in your whare as possible!
